Kids’ Serving Sizes

How much is too much? How can you be sure your kids are eating enough? Canada’s Food Guide outlines the recommended servings per day from each food group to help you fill the plates and tummies of your kids with just the right amount of nutritious food for their growing bodies.

Keep in mind that children may eat a little more or less at different times. Also, as activity levels increase, the number of servings may need to increase. Be sure to offer a variety of foods from all food groups.
