Oven: FOR EMPTY PIE SHELL: Remove shell(s) from outer packaging only and allow to thaw 15 minutes. Prick bottom and sides with a fork at 1" intervals. Place on a baking sheet and bake on the middle rack of a pre-heated oven at 190ºC (375ºF) for 14 to 17 minutes until golden. Cool shell before filling. FOR ONE CRUST PIES: Remove shell from outer packaging only, place pie on baking sheet and pour in filling. Bake on the middle rack of a pre-heated oven at 230ºC (450ºF) for 10 minutes, then reduce heat to 180ºC (350º) and continue baking for 25 to 35 minutes or according to recipe directions. FOR TWO-CRUST PIES: Remove shells from outer packaging only and allow to thaw 15 to 20 minutes. Place filling in one shell and moisten edges with water. Remove other shell form pan and flatten edges gently on countertop. Place on top of filling, seal and crimp edges. Trim excess pastry. Cut several slits in the top of the pie, place pie on baking sheet and bake on the middle rack of a pre-heated oven at 230ºC (450ºF) for 10 minutes, then reduce heat to 180ºC (350ºF) and continue baking for 35 to 45 minutes or according to recipe directions. Since ovens vary in temperature, these are guidelines only.
