Slow BBQ Braised Ribs & Chicken

Serves 8 | Prep Time: 15 minutes | Total Time: 2 hours

Slow BBQ Braised Ribs & Chicken can be made in the morning for a later reheat on the barbecue. After braising, remove ribs and chicken from liquid, cool, cover and refrigerate. Measure out 1/2 cup (125 mL) cooking liquid, bring to a boil and combine with grilling sauce, cool, cover and refrigerate until later.

Aluminum Foil Pouch Technique

Step 1
  1. Layer 2 extra-wide pieces of aluminum foil (long enough to wrap around all the meat fully). Lay ribs on foil, place chicken pieces on top.
Step 2
  1. Fold up foil sides and fold in ends, crimping the corners to make a watertight container. Pour liquid mixture over all, fold sides and ends in to create a well-sealed pouch.
