Lime Butter Basted Shrimp Recipe
Recipe Ingredients
| 1 | pkg. frozen, uncooked Compliments Extra Large Freshwater Shrimp (12/15), thawed and peeled | 340 g |
| 3 tbsp | butter, melted | 45 mL |
| 1 | lime | |
| 1/2 tsp | honey or granulated sugar | 2 mL |
| 1/4 tsp | Compliments Louisiana Hot Sauce | 1 mL |
| 1 | clove garlic, minced | |
| 1/2 tsp | pepper | 2 mL |
Recipe Directions
- Preheat barbecue to high heat and lightly oil grill. Pat shrimp dry using a paper towel.
- Finely grate lime, measure 1 tsp (5 mL) zest; stir into melted butter. Halve the lime and squeeze 1 tbsp (15 mL) juice into butter mixture along with honey, hot sauce and garlic. Divide mixture in half.
- Toss shrimp with half the butter mixture and pepper. Grill until shrimp are firm and opaque, about 2 minutes per side. Brush with remaining butter mixture before serving.
