Spiced Cabbage Apple Slaw Recipe
Recipe Ingredients
| 2 tbsp | Compliments Extra Virgin Olive Oil | 30 mL |
| 4 cups | shredded red cabbage | 1 L |
| 3 tbsp | apple juice | 45 mL |
| 3 tbsp | cider vinegar | 45 mL |
| 3 tbsp | Compliments Organic 100% Wildflower Honey | 45 mL |
| 1/2 tsp | each salt and pepper | 2 mL |
| 2 | green apples, sliced into 2-inch (5 cm) thin strips | |
| 2 | carrots, sliced into 2-inch (5 cm) thin strips | |
| 1/4 cup | Compliments Balance Mayonnaise Style Dressing | 60 mL |
| 2 tsp | Compliments Louisiana Hot Sauce | 10 mL |
Recipe Directions
- Heat oil in a large saucepan over medium-high heat. Add cabbage and sauté 2 minutes. Add apple juice, vinegar, honey, salt and pepper; bring to boil. Remove from heat, transfer to a bowl and let cool.
- Stir in apples, carrots, mayonnaise and hot sauce.
