Recipe Ingredients

2 tbsp Compliments Extra Virgin Olive Oil 30 mL
4 cups shredded red cabbage 1 L
3 tbsp apple juice 45 mL
3 tbsp cider vinegar 45 mL
3 tbsp Compliments Organic 100% Wildflower Honey 45 mL
1/2 tsp each salt and pepper 2 mL
2 green apples, sliced into 2-inch (5 cm) thin strips
2 carrots, sliced into 2-inch (5 cm) thin strips
1/4 cup Compliments Balance Mayonnaise Style Dressing 60 mL
2 tsp Compliments Louisiana Hot Sauce 10 mL
 

Recipe Directions

  1. Heat oil in a large saucepan over medium-high heat. Add cabbage and sauté 2 minutes. Add apple juice, vinegar, honey, salt and pepper; bring to boil. Remove from heat, transfer to a bowl and let cool.
  2. Stir in apples, carrots, mayonnaise and hot sauce.
