Preparation instruction

Oven: 1 PREHEAT oven to 160ºC (325ºF) with oven rack in lowest position. 2 ADD 1¼ cups (310 mL) cold water to cake mix in a large non-plastic bowl. 3 BLEND with electric mixer on low speed for 30 seconds while constantly scraping sides of bowl. Increase to medium speed and beat for 1 minute. (Batter will be soft and will not form peaks.) 4 POUR into ungreased 25 cm (10 in) tube pan and gently run knife through batter to remove air bubbles. 5 BAKE for 50-60 minutes or until top is golden brown, firm and cracks feel dry. Do not underbake. 6 COOL completely with the pan inverted on a funnel or bottle. To remove cake from pan, run a knife around the sides and centre and shake gently. To serve, cut with a serrated knife.
