Preparation instruction

Oven: You will need: 3 whole eggs, 1 cup (250 ml) water, 1/3 cup (80 ml) vegetable oil 1. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F) for metal and glass pans or to 165°C (325°F) for dark or coated pans.* grease sides and bottom of each pan with shortening or oil and flour lightly. (use baking cups for cupcakes.) 2. Blend cake mix, water, vegetable oil and eggs in a large bowl on low speed of an electric mixer until moistened (about 30 seconds). Beat at medium speed for 2 minutes. Pour batter into pans and bake immediately. 3. Bake according to chart below. *Add 3 to 5 minutes to bake time for dark or coated pans. Cake is done when toothpick inserted in centre comes out clean. Do not test for doneness by touching with finger. Cool in pan on a wire rack for 15 minutes. Cool completely before frosting. Two 20 cm (8 in) round layers 26 to 31 min. Two 23 cm (9 in) round layers 23 to 28 min. One 33 cm (13 in x 9 in) pan 26 to 31 min. One 25 cm (10 in) pan or fluted tube pan 33 to 36 min. 24 to 30 cupcakes (fill 1/2 full) 18 to 21 min. Since ovens vary in temperature, these are guidelines only.
